Shoe Reviews, Part 1. Which Shoe Brands Have the Most Comfortable High Heels?
Since I own more than a hundred pairs of shoes and regularly try on who knows how many new models and brands, I thought I will start writing shoe reviews. This way I can put my addiction to a good use and hopefully help someone make a decision when it comes to shoes purchases.
I think the best way to do it will be to review each brand separately and I will do it in my following posts. However, today as my first post on shoe reviews I will do something different.
My friends know my shoe addiction and it is not surprising that when they have a question and need advice, they come to me. It is flattering, of course and I don’t mind giving them my opinion, but I thought it would be easier to write sort of a FAQ post and give the link to everyone who is looking for advice on shoes.
Today’s FAQ is: Which Shoe Brands Make the Most Comfortable High Heels?
High heels were a great invention, because they not only make women’s leg longer, but also usually make her walk straight and hold herself better. However, if the shoes are uncomfortable, they will cause pain and may even cause irreversible damage to your feet and spine.
Everyone will probably have different recommendations, but based on my own experience and on the experience of my fellow shoe-addicts, these brands have some of the most comfortable high heel shoes:
Rieker Antistress. I discovered Rieker brand accidentally during one of the 6PM daily-special sales. I bought 2 pairs of shoes simply because they looked cute and I fell in love with them. Many Rieker models are flats, but I found some nice boots and heels, which are as comfortable as Robeez baby shoes. Rieker shoes are a bit pricey if you pay full price for them, but they are worth every penny. I paid half a price for them on 6PM, but if at some point I have to pay full price for them, I will (if you know how frugal I am, it says a lot about this brand). If in doubt, go to Amazon, look for Rieker reviews and see that I am not the only one who loves them so much.
Dr. Scholls. I always thought Dr. Scholl’s was making shoes for grandmas and never associated the brand with a sexy style…until I ran into these shoes: Dr. Scholl’s Women’s Zodiac Thong
They looked super uncomfortable (I hate flip-flops and the heel seemed unstable), but after I read numerous Amazon reviews, where women of all ages were raving about how comfy these shoes were, I decided to bite. Needless to say, Dr. Scholl’s is one of my favorite brands right now. The shoes are made to be comfortable and fit like a glove.
Liz Claiborne Flex. I own four pairs of Liz Claiborne Flex High Heel shoes. All of them are real leather; are very well made and are very durable. I bought my first pair of Liz Claiborne shoes about four years ago and they still look like new (unlike most of my other shoes I wear these a lot). I was looking for Liz Claiborne Flex shoes online, but for some reason couldn’t find much. I bought 3 pairs in Bonton during their clearance and sale events and one pair I got at Stein mart. I paid not more than $25 out of pocket for each of them.
There are other high heel shoes that I like as well, but so far only these three brands have been consistent in their comfort and sizing for me.
