A Great Place to Find Women’s Wide Shoes
I have to confess that when my shoe addiction started, I didn’t even know that shoes were sold in different widths. When I started ordering online, I was simply ignoring the letters A, D, W or DD next to the shoe size…until I got a pair which fit me horribly.
I not only learned that shoe width does make a difference. I also learned that it is not easy to find women’s wide shoes and narrow shoes, and that selection of shoes in larger sizes is also pretty limited.
If you look hard enough you can find women’s wide shoes in many discount shoe stores (such as Marshals, TJMax , Endless.com or Amazon.com). But if you are looking for a store which specializes in hard to find sizes for women (extra wide shoes and shoes in bigger sizes), check DesignerShoes.com.
I discovered them while I was shopping for a pair of shoes for my mother (who still doesn’t feel comfortable shopping online) last year and I was pleased with them since then.
They have free shipping on all orders of $75 or more (which is not as good as free shipping on any order, but I can live with that), and they often have coupons featured on their front page.
They also have a decent sale section with some juicy deals.
I don’t know about you, but I get annoyed if I see a cute pair of shoes I want to buy and then when I click on it, I see that the only sizes which are left are 6 and 6.5. DesignerShoes.com claim that they don’t even carry a style unless it comes to at least a size 12.
Many shoes that they sell are available up to size 15 and they come in different widths too.
You can return shoes which don’t fit, but if your order was less that $75 and you paid for shipping, they don’t reimburse it. I haven’t returned anything myself, but on their website they say that they provide a shipping label, but I don’t know if they will charge you for return shipping or of it is free.
Whatever the case, I haven’t found a better store for women’s wide shoes yet, so I guess I have to live with that.:-)
Thanks, I’ll check them out.
